How does the Internet Benefit Our life?

　　With the development of technology, the Internet has become an important part of our daily life, Surfing the net becomes one of the most popular leisure activities among young people. Then how does the Internet benefit our life?

　　The first benefit that the internet brings us is the easier and faster way of communication. E-mail is replacing the ordinary letters gradually, as it is much faster and more convenient. We can send a message to our friends no matter where he or she is as long as he has an e-mail account. What is more, we can enter the chat rooms or ICQ to communicate with our friends just like chatting with them on the phone. Of course, it is much cheaper than a long-distance call.

　　The second benefit of the Internet is that it is just like a huge database, which provides lots of information. We can discover the world on the net without going out of our homes. We can find all the information we want on the net; for example, news or weather forecast. If I want to find some material for my project, the only thing I have to do is to type in what I would like to find in the search engine, and then in seconds, all the information will appear on the screen. It saves time and energy and makes me work more efficiently.

　　Apart from getting information, you can also do shopping on line. If I want to buy something, I do not need to rush downtown and look for it from one store to another. I can just sit in front of the computer and click the mouse to select the satisfactory products.

　　In addition, we can have many entertainments on the Internet. We can play games with others on the net. I once played bridge on the net and had a lot of fun. We can also watch TV, listen to music and read novels on the net.

　　With the Internet, the world has become a global village. The Internet broadens our fields of visions and makes our life more colourful.
