一片小云

　　云的形状变化多，爱看云的啡友P说他曾见人以手喻云作“巴掌般大小的云”，觉得挺有意思。

　　一片小云，英语成语中有cloud like a man's hand，典于圣经旧约列王纪上第十八章第四十四节：第七次仆人说，我看见有一小片云从海里上来，不过如人手那样大。(Behold, there arises a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand。）形容那是一小片云也。新约第十二章第一节：我们既有这许多的见证人，如同云彩围着我们，就当放下各样的重担……，英译：Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight……见到a cloud of有a crowd of，或者a great number of之意。

　　斯蒂文森(Robert Louis Stevenson, 1850-1894)在他的名著《金银岛》(Treasure island)中有一段描写小群海盗突然出现的场面：Suddenly, with a loud huzza, a little cloud of pirates leaped from the woods on the north side。突然间，一小群海盗高叫一声好哇，从北边的林子中跳了出来。cloud是crowd的同义词也。
